Christopher Mason is the Founder and CEO of Woodhorn Global, bringing over a decade of expertise in financial crime investigations, compliance program transformation, and global risk advisory services. As a CAMS-certified attorney, he has led high-stakes due diligence projects, risk assessments, and investigations for both the US federal government and a leading global investment bank.

 

Before launching Woodhorn Global, Mr. Mason served as Vice President of Global Compliance and Investigations at a leading due diligence firm, where he led international due diligence investigations supporting private equity investments, M&A deals, and global business expansion. He also previously held the role of VP – Risk Officer at one of the world's largest investment banks, overseeing the firm’s anti-money laundering enhanced due diligence program.

 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mason was the Chief Economist for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigrant Investor Program, where his team assessed the impact of foreign investments flowing into the United States. He frequently collaborated with federal agencies—including the FBI, SEC, and FINCEN—on financial crime investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risks associated with inbound investment capital.

 

Mr. Mason leverages his extensive experience to advise companies, legal teams, and investors on risk mitigation strategies, offering tailored consulting, training, and crisis management solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
